View from the Livingroom Windows

This is the window in the livingroom from which I took the following pictures. Sorry it is sideways...haven't figured out how or when to change it yet.

These are some of the views from our southern facing livingroom window/balcony. The first is of the crazy intersection which is in front of the house. It is one of the busiest streets in Trani. Notice the scramble of traffic? This is normal.

Next we look a little to our left and you will notice the lovely fruit and vegetable guy across the street. They are very nice but don't have a great selection so we usually pass them by. Went there once and they knew EXACTLY who we were, where we lived and why we were here. Scarry what a small town knows!

This is the view down to the Adriatic. It is only four blocks away. I have never been so close to the water and we are loving it! You can see that most of the buildings are three stories high. Olivia's balcony is pictured on the left of the frame.

Fall Colors in Corato!

The colors of southern Italy are pretty basic. There is the green of the olive orchards and cactus, the blue of the sea and the brown of the earth, especially in the heat of summer. I had an unexpected surprise today as I was driving up to Corato to get the girls from school. I turned a corner and there was a vibrant red wall of leaves! What a great Autumn surprise!

Beautiful red surprise.
