The colors of southern Italy are pretty basic. There is the green of the olive orchards and cactus, the blue of the sea and the brown of the earth, especially in the heat of summer. I had an unexpected surprise today as I was driving up to Corato to get the girls from school. I turned a corner and there was a vibrant red wall of leaves! What a great Autumn surprise!

I am glad you got to see the RED color! I have been meaning to take some pictures for you but it always seems to be raining and now most of the leaves are down..I will keep my eye open and my camera on! I like your pictures!
