Our 2009 Christmas vacation began with a flight into Munich. Even as the plane was decending we were smiling at the familiar countryside. And the SNOW!!! Munich certainly put on its best for us. Unfortunately we were there for less than 24 hours. Note to self when planning next year's winter break...allow much more time for the Munich leg!

We met up with a great friend, Clodagh, from BIS and found this great hot chocolate place just on Marienplatz! Her camera has the picture of the smiling Ewing's on it.
And then dinner with Heidi and Matthew at a typical Bavarian restaurant. We truly wish we had more time to meet up with everyone we wanted to see. I think we will have to plan a nice long trip up north sometime soon.
