Olivia and Eileen's European Vacation

Olivia and Eileen are heading off to Paris! This is the first leg of a whirlwind European vacation they are taking with a friend Olivia has known since she was three! They will go to Paris, Amsterdam, back to Paris to catch a train to Venice, Florence, Rome and back to Trani all in two weeks. They were pretty excited!

Waiting at the airport. Lines everywhere. No one moving. It turned out the computer system wouldn't allow seat assignments so there was a whole plane of people standing around until the agents just started processing everyone on a sit where ever you want basis. I roll my eyes and think, only in Italy. It must have been a madhouse at the gate!

These shoes are ready for walking, walking, walking!

A look at the long line and also the Italian interpretation of a line. Everyone should crowd and muscle in as close as possible. Shoulders are good weapons. Suitcases are legitimate blockers and older people automatically go to the front of the line.
We picked Lufthansa because we thought they would have some Germanic sense of order but that wasn't to be the case. Oh well. The girls made it to the plane. We got a text that they had landed and another that they were at the hotel. Now I can relax a little.
